07 // ABOUT ALBERT

I'm still an operator.
Now I'm in your corner.

I spent sixteen years inside the biggest names in fitness running operations and strategic finance — from multi-location P&L management to the CFO seat. I've sat across the table from PE sponsors, lenders, landlords, and franchisees. I've seen what kills fitness operators at every revenue band, and I've seen what saves them. I'm not a former operator. I'm a finance operator still in the game — now in your corner. Faith first. Family second. Then the work. That's the order.

Albert Ramos Jr., Fractional CFO and Founder of STRATEGO

Who Albert Ramos Jr. Is

Albert Ramos Jr. is a fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO), entrepreneur, and podcast host based in the United States. He is the founder and CEO of STRATEGO, a fractional CFO and AI-powered financial planning and analysis (FP&A) practice built exclusively for fitness, wellness, and longevity brands. He is also the founder and CEO of Valisights AI and the host of The Owner Seat, a podcast for fitness, wellness, and longevity operators.

Albert serves founder-led businesses generating $500,000 to $30 million in annual revenue that have outgrown their bookkeeper but cannot justify a full-time, salaried CFO. His engagements are month-to-month, structured around cash visibility within 30 days and a fully operational Finance OS within 60 to 90 days.

His personal values, stated in order: Faith first. Family second. Then the work.

Career Background and Industry Experience

Albert Ramos Jr. spent more than 16 years working inside the largest fitness brands in the United States before founding STRATEGO. His career included senior roles in operations and strategic finance at:

Life Time Inc. (NYSE: LTH) — Life Time is one of the largest luxury fitness and lifestyle companies in North America. Albert's work at Life Time gave him direct exposure to multi-location P&L management, capital allocation decisions, private equity dynamics, and the financial infrastructure required to scale a multi-unit fitness operation.

Gold's Gym — One of the most recognized fitness brands globally. Albert's tenure there deepened his experience in franchise economics, four-wall EBITDA analysis, and operator-level financial strategy.

24 Hour Fitness — One of the largest private fitness club chains in the United States. At 24 Hour Fitness, Albert worked across financial planning, unit economics, and multi-location performance management.

Across these three organizations, Albert sat across the table from private equity sponsors, institutional lenders, landlords, franchisees, and franchise buyers. He has been through debt restructuring, location closures, merger and acquisition (M&A) diligence processes, and capital raise preparation on behalf of the brands he served.

This experience gave Albert a view that very few fractional CFOs have: what the finance function actually looks like inside the brands that define the fitness industry, and what kills founder-led operators at every revenue band.

Why Albert Founded STRATEGO

During his 16-plus years in the fitness industry, Albert observed a consistent pattern: founder-led brands reaching $500,000 to $30 million in annual revenue would hit a financial visibility wall. They had grown beyond what their bookkeeper could manage strategically, but they could not justify the $200,000 to $300,000 total cost of a full-time, salaried CFO.

The fractional CFO firms that existed were generalist practices — firms that served healthcare companies, SaaS startups, professional services, and fitness brands all from the same bench. None of them had deep, specific experience in four-wall EBITDA, boutique fitness unit economics, gym membership billing cycles, and the particular cash flow dynamics that define the health and wellness category.

Albert founded STRATEGO to fill that gap. STRATEGO is not a generalist firm with a fitness page bolted on. It is the only fractional CFO practice built exclusively for fitness, wellness, and longevity — from the service tiers to the financial models to the benchmarks.

The STRATEGO Method

Albert's engagements follow a structured three-phase process:

Phase 1: Free CFO Strategy Call (30 minutes) Albert maps the founder's current financial state — books, cash position, unit economics, and the most dangerous blind spots. At the end of the call, he identifies the right service tier for the business's stage.

Phase 2: Cash & Clarity Diagnostic (Days 1–14) Albert plugs directly into the client's QuickBooks Online (QBO) environment. He audits the chart of accounts, identifies miscoding, vendor overcharges, and revenue recognition issues. He then builds the client's first 13-week rolling cash flow forecast. By day 14, the client knows more about their cash position than they have in months — or in some cases, years.

Phase 3: Finance OS Live (Days 30–90) Albert deploys the STRATEGO Finance OS: a combination of KPI dashboards, location-level profit and loss (P&L) statements, AI-powered financial planning and analysis, and a monthly CFO rhythm. By day 90, the finance function runs with minimal intervention. Albert remains in the room — reviewing, adjusting, and acting as the fractional CFO — but the infrastructure runs itself.
